In part, based on a reflection given by Fr. Etienne Grieu SJ (Rector of Centre Sévres, Paris) at a meeting of the French Province of the Society of Jesus. For Fr. Grieu, the Covid-19 pandemic constituted a malheur collectif or "collective misfortune" for humanity. A key lesson learnt from this misfortune is that we cannot live in isolation; rather we live through each other. Interestingly, this is expressed in and through the Holy Eucharist of our Lord, a broken body, shared and one at the same time. It’s time out with God to appreciate His presence in the Pandemic from this unique perspective
